(This was supposed to be posted yesterday, but Blogger had a hissy-fit yesterday and wouldn't let me post it)
I am really indecisive (just to let you know, I just spend 6.38 minutes trying to think of that word), and when it comes to music, I don't like just one genre. I don't really like any genre more than another. My least favourite type of music is what I like to call 'Radio Roadkill', which is basically when a song gets played on the radio so much that you can't even listen to it after a week, and it dies. I'm one of those people who listens to songs that know one else knows, but wishes they did once it's over. Anyways, I'm just going to tell you my favourite song of the week (that doesn't, no hasn't gotten airplay, or very much, or is older). And if anyone is out there reading, they can suggest songs. I'm not expecting you to like every song, but getting a chance to hear new music is a win-win for all, in my opinion. I'll try to change it up each week. So. without further adieu here's the song:
Colors - April Smith and the Great Picture Show
And yes, I heard this on a Lowe's commercial. And yes, while listening to this, I finished painting my little wall, which is now a magnetic chalkboard. Awesome, I know. This song is just so catchy and upbeat, it makes me want to do either something cute and crafty, or line dance. But, as my friend so kindly suggested, not both at the same time, because holding scissors and do-si-do-ing at the same time is a very dangerous mix.

Really Quite Cute Fridays
I am a big animal person (there is a cat on my lap and a dog at my feet as I am typing this), but when people ask me whether I am a dog or cat person, it's not really something I can answer. Sure I have a cat because I'm too busy (read: lazy) to do all the work of taking care of a dog, but I still am almost always taking care of one. Ash -my aunt's Bichon-Shih Tzu mix- is staying over now. I do however agree that dogs and cats are to very different breeds, just like their owners. Here's a little 'diary' that has been floating around the magical place that is the Internet that sums up how different dogs and cats think. I thought it was fun, so I thought I would share.

Day 983 of My Captivity
My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength.
The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape. In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet. Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates my capabilities. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a "good little hunter" I am. Bastards!
There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of "allergies." I must learn what this means, and how to use it to my advantage.
Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow, but at the top of the stairs.
I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released, and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded. The bird must be an informant. I observe him communicate with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe. For now ...

My Nail Polish Collection
Okay, My Stash was in need of a serious update, as my collection grew, my old system couldn't hold up. It just became too messy, and too complicated to look through. After some deliberation, I choose a nice neat Google Doc, but don't know if I will keep this forever either.
As for my collection, as of writing this, I have about 200 polishes, with a couple on the way from swaps. As you can tell, I'm not a brand snob, and have a whole array of different brands, from Wet N' Wilds to OPIs. I don't have many higher-end brands, but if I can snag a nice one for a good price I will definitely hop on it. I honestly barely buy a nail polish for full price. Most of the time, I buy about 5-15 polishes a month, any more than that and I go on a no-buy or low-buy the following month, which is usually happens after Christmas and my birthday. I also don't keep dupes. If I have a dupe they either go into my blog sale (check it out, there are some great lovelies), to a friend or into my giveaway stash. Anyways, please ask me if you'd like to see a polish swatched, I'd love to be able to do that for someone :)

Pink Shirt Day- April 13
April 13th (a Friday) is Pink shirt day. If you don't know what that is, here's an exerpt of the letter from the Director of Education and Chair of the TDSB:
I think it's a great idea, pink being such a taboo colour and all. I mean, we've all heard those completely nasty and rude comments about being gay or lesbian just because you don't wear the colours your gender are suppose to wear. It also makes different sexual orientations sound bad and wrong, when they're totally not. This helps create a world where people aren't haressed for stupid stuff like this. It won't fix the worrld's problems, but it's a start.
April 13 has been designated as Pink Day. This day is based on the actions in 2007 of two Nova Scotia Grade 12 students who marshalled their friends to wear pink in support of a younger student who had been bullied for wearing a pink shirt on the first day of school. The e-mail campaign mounted by the older students resulted in not just 50 of their friends but in hundreds of students turning up the next day wearing pink in support of the bullied student.
The Pink Day that started in a Nova Scotia high school has now spread across Canada. TDSB schools have participated in Pink Day celebrations for several years, but this is the second year we are supporting anti-bullying through a Board-wide call to action. We urge every school and every staff member and student to join the anti-bullying campaign by wearing pink on Wednesday, April 13. Show your support against bullying and for tolerance.

Animal Testing
I am a cruelty free cosmetics buyer. Or try the very best I can to be one. Which means, on this blog, you won't find Sally Hasen, Covergirl, Maybelline, Rimmel or other companies that do on this site. Why? Because it's wrong. Cosmetics are such unnecessary things. Don't get me wrong, I love a good lip gloss as much as the next girl, but I don't think it's worth the life of a helpless animal, stuck in a small metal cage and painfully experimented on until they die. I'm not trying to shame people who do buy cosmetics tested on animals, I'm just stating my opinion and hoping that you reconsider your opinion, or perhaps find out that some companies do test on animals and which ones they are.I have found many brands that are cheaper AND better quality and that don't hurt bunnies. Examples include, but aren't limited to LA Colors, Claire's/Icing, Sinful Colors and Wet N Wild. I know I can't change anyone elses opinion, and that some people (anyone who lives in China) may not have a choice, but I know I do, and hope I can help convince you animal testing is wrong, unnecessary, and show you some great alternatives.

1 CENT NAIL POLISHES! And, no! I am not kidding!
Well even though I'm sure most of the population knows about this, I figured I'd tell you too. The nail polish company Julep does a beauty box, similar to Birchbox and other ones like it, but with nail polish and hand care items, like hand creams, base/top coats and cuticle oil. This month you can even get real Argan Oil! And when you use the code PENNY or, COLORS4ONE you get three nail polishes or two plus the argan oil for 1 cent! And it's free shipping too! Now just try not to drool on your computer. Just click here.
I'll be swatching and reviewing my colours once I get them and my new camera. For now, here's the picture and description of the colour in March's It Girl Box (aka soon to be mine!) from the Julep website. I decided against the argan oil since I already had some and personally don't care too much for it.

- Leah, vivid and refreshing grass green with a hint of shimmer.
- Helena, ultra-saturated fuchsia. Looks great on all skin tones.
- Melissa, sheer opalescent shimmer adds a soft glow when used alone and a high-fashion holographic effect when used over another colour.
Sounds great, doesn't it!
